Content Guidelines

All news releases are reviewed by the NamePressRelease.com Editorial Team before they are distributed to ensure that they follow our defined rules and give value to the media and other prospective readers. Releases sent to NamePressRelease should have a newsworthy viewpoint, be free of advertising promotion, and follow the AP format guidelines. This will help to ensure that the approval process is not slowed down unnecessarily.

The following qualities should be present in all press releases:

Please include the name of the Press Release Source in the headline, synopsis, and/or first paragraph of the article. To ensure that the reader understands where the release is coming from, the source (company/organization discussed) must be explicitly introduced towards the top of the release.

Valid Media Contact Information – Press releases must include at least a valid email address in the contact information, but certain distribution choices may require additional information such as the Direct Media Contact’s name and phone number.

An Objective Tone

The presence of a direct address could indicate that the content is an advertisement rather than a press release. Hype flags, such as exclamation points, exaggerated product/service claims, descriptions of a product or service as “AMAZING,” or the use of capital characters to emphasize a point, will cast doubt on your news announcement’s reliability.

Timely and Newsworthy Content

Do not use your press release to advertise or to post a general interest piece, “open letters,” or other similar items that lack attribution and/or news value. Content that is newsworthy includes, but is not limited to:

  • Launch of a new corporate product, a new website, new hiring, or changes in personnel.
  • Trade exhibitions, conferences, seminars, and other industry events are coming up soon.
  • Announcements about the publication of a whitepaper or a new research study.
  • Industry accolades or company awards
  • Announcements about store openings or company events.
  • Partnerships or agreements between businesses.
  • Announcement of a new book, music, or art installation.

Proper Spelling and Grammar – A press release must employ proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation marks, as well as utilize proper abbreviations or acronyms, sentence spacing, and capitalization.

Accurate and factual

A news release’s information must be both legally and factually correct.

Written Authorization – In some cases, such as with network marketing companies or affiliated third parties, when using a stock ticker symbol, or when making major corporate announcements.

length

Standard Press Release Length (250-600 Words) and press releases that are too short or long may struggle to be indexed by search engines.

Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks that are accurate and functioning – Before submitting your release, please double-check that all links are fully working. If the release contains links that are not active at the time of submission, please notify our editorial team so that the review process is not slowed down.

Releases that are considered to include the following sorts of content have the right to be refused, held, or required to be changed by NamePressRelease:

Adult Content

No content relating to sexually explicit topics or subjects will be permitted. If a release contains sexually explicit information and is not suitable for all ages in a public forum, it may be labeled as inappropriate. All websites aimed at people aged 18 and up are deemed sexually explicit.

NamePressRelease reserves the right to refuse a release if it is considered to be a review of an affiliate marketing product (links to affiliate product).

Unauthorized Stock Ticker Symbol

Any releases that include a stock ticker symbol must have the company’s express written permission if they are coming from a third party.

Cryptocurrency and ICO-related content

Any content relating to an ICO offering or a cryptocurrency-related release will be subject to additional scrutiny. Please keep in mind that this review may take longer than usual to complete. During the process, we may request further vetting information such as government issued IDs, Whitepapers, LinkedIn URLs, and so on. If you do not supply all of the specified materials, your press release will be rejected. Any releases involving ICOs that accept US investment will be rejected because to tight US rules.

False Information

All information in releases must be factually accurate and independently checked. Any user who uploads a press release via NamePressRelease undertakes to provide only honest and factual material.

Harmful Intentions & Negative Statements

We will not post any releases that are intended to damage, instigate, or express hatred towards a specific group or individual. Negative words about another company, particularly by name, will be rejected.

NamePressRelease will reject any releases that contain statements that it deems to be inflammatory.

Libelous in nature refers to any content that contains potentially defamatory claims against a person or corporation. Opinionated items will be examined to see if there are any red flags that will prevent them from being published.

Any releases that address a pending or ongoing lawsuit case will be rejected. If the case has been settled, the release must be accompanied with the appropriate documents, such as the court docket number, traceable files, and so on. If all other editing standards are met, releases pertaining to amicus curiae briefings are acceptable to process.

Make Money Schemes

Releases in this category will be scrutinized further and may be rejected by our editorial team due to unsubstantiated claims.

Any releases from online pharmacies that sell prescription medications will be assessed for suitability. A doctor’s prescription is required for any online purchase, according to the website, which must be situated in the United States or the United Kingdom.

Miracle Product Releases

NamePressRelease will reject any releases that contain “miraculous” claims about a product. Any “claims” that were made had to be backed up by scientific study evidence. This includes “alternative health” products (for example, press releases about “natural” chemotherapy alternatives). Any promotion of FDA-unregulated medical products could result in a lengthy editorial review.

Partnerships, Deals, Acquisitions, Venture Capital, and Private Equity – Any news release that falls under this category will be asked to complete out additional verification forms, which can be downloaded or provided by our editing team. Failure to provide verification forms will result in NamePressRelease and/or our distribution partners refusing to issue the press release, resulting in partial syndication.

Payday Loans

Press releases about payday lending services will be judged inappropriate for publication.

Political Releases

Only releases with peaceful and moderate political tone will be considered. Opinion editorial releases with a political bent may be considered if the client includes a first paragraph remark like “The following is an open letter from X on Y.”

Prescription and Over-the-Counter Pharmaceuticals

NamePressRelease does not accept press releases that mention brand-name prescription or OTC drugs. It is allowed to refer to the medications by their generic names. NamePressRelease also maintains the right to refuse releases that contain explicit pharmaceutical company names.

Gambling-Related

Any press release that relates with gambling will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Any news items, articles, or tales reprinted from other websites or publications will be rejected since they may be copyrighted. Duplicate content will be rejected as well if a press release is discovered to have been issued earlier. Unique and original content is required.

SPAM

Any releases that use SPAM trigger words like’make money,’ ‘free,’ ‘clearance,’ ‘wonderful,’ ‘earn money,’ and so on.

Stock Recommendations

We will not accept any releases that feature stock recommendations, advice, or reviews.

Streaming Video Websites

Any releases that promote the unlicensed streaming of premium and television channels’ video material will be rejected.

Weight-loss, health-supplement, or sexual-enhancement products that aren’t safe – Releases on these issues will be thoroughly scrutinized in order to evaluate their appropriateness. The editorial staff reserves the right to reject any releases that do not adequately support any or all of the claims made in the release.

Unverifiable Information

If a release contains critical information that NamePressRelease cannot independently verify, we reserve the right to refuse it.

Unverified Celebrity Endorsements

If a press release includes a celebrity endorsement or mention, we’ll need proof that the celebrity is aware of and approves of the material.
